Dinner/ Supper: 1 Yogurt peanuts

Exercise: 10km plus climb through the Wicklow mountains in Gleann Dá Loch. I am so unfit. Really annoyed with myself. But I finished it, albeit like a drowned rat. Will probably have a very bad flu this week as a result. Too tired to make a proper dinner so eating the above now.

Lunch: 6 dark Ryvita
No butter or spread
2 slices of lean Turkey
Tomato
2 mugs of coffee

Break: Muller Light yogurt
Nutrigrain bar

Dinner: Spaghetti Bolognese
Peas
sweet corn
(couldn’t finish even half of the plate and, amazingly, I left it)

Throughout the day: 1 litre of sparkling water
1 litre of diet Coke
1 ice cream

Dinner/Supper:
Large Popcorn and 2 large Pepsi Max (cinema)
Muller Light yogurt
Nutrigrain
500ml diet 7up.

Throughout the day: 1 litre of Riverrock sparkling water

Exercise: Walked from Baile an Bhóthair to COBÁC. 30 minutes.

Lunch: 1 Cup-A-Soup vegetable (low cal)
1/2 brown roll (I’ve lost it; never before have I had half a roll!)
500ml diet Coke

Dinner/Supper: 2 Cup-A-Soup (low cal)
1/2 brown roll with banana
1 bag of Honest popcorn
1 Nutrigrain bar
1 litre of Diet Coke

Throughout the day: 3 litres of Riverrock sparkling water.

Exercise: Walked for a full hour with Yan from COBÁC to Stig Lorcáin.

Breakfast: 6 dark Ryvita (only 27 calories each)
I Banana
No butter or anything
Two mugs of coffee

Lunch: 6 coctail sausages
6 small onion rings
500ml still water *

Dinner: Large popcorn and large 7up Free * (Féach ar ‘Mo Mhothúcháin’)

Supper: 2 Muller Light yogurts- toffee and cherry. Lovely, and extremely low fat- must be bad! Had a Nutri-grain, also low fat but not too low.

Throughout the day: 3 more litres of Riverrock sparkling water

Exercise: None.

Lunch: Two slices of fruit and fibre bread with ham, cheese and Benecol.

Break: Packet of Honest popcorn
Strawberry Nutri-Grain

Dinner: 4 tortillas
Fillet steak grilled
Mushrooms, onion, peppers and sweetcorn mix fried in Extra Virgin Olive Oil (apparently heat removes the Extra Virgin taste so I’d be better off with simple Oliver Oil if I am going to fry it)

Throughout the day: Two mugs of coffee
1500ml Diet Coke
1500ml Riverrock Sparkling Water

Exercise: Cycled to and from Aisling’s first thing this morning.

Breakfast: Two Benecol 67.5g yogurts (tiny things!)
4 Weetabix with low fat milk (Haven’t had cereal in a couple of years; it was refreshing)

Lunch: One Benecol 67.5g yogurt
Turkey and tomato on ordinary size white roll. Added pepper, and no butter etc. Didn’t miss it either.

Supper: Two Benecol 67.5g yogurts

Throughout the day: 2-3 mugs of real coffee with low fat milk
1litre of Diet Coke
2-3 litres of Sparkling Riverrock water

Exercise: Walked for 90 minutes with Yan to Domhnach Broc and back. Enjoyed it with my big round hat (which Aisling says makes me look fat, and last night she asked me to take it off because it was, and I quote, “disturbing”) Need to do it every day.

Feel: Hungry, and conscious of the big task ahead of me. How did Terence McSwiney last 74 days without any food at all? And what felicitious words he spoke: ‘it is not those who inflict the most but those who endure the most who ultimately triumph’.
