Breakfast: Two Benecol 67.5g yogurts (tiny things!)
4 Weetabix with low fat milk (Haven’t had cereal in a couple of years; it was refreshing)
Lunch: One Benecol 67.5g yogurt
Turkey and tomato on ordinary size white roll. Added pepper, and no butter etc. Didn’t miss it either.
Supper: Two Benecol 67.5g yogurts
Throughout the day: 2-3 mugs of real coffee with low fat milk
1litre of Diet Coke
2-3 litres of Sparkling Riverrock water
Exercise: Walked for 90 minutes with Yan to Domhnach Broc and back. Enjoyed it with my big round hat (which Aisling says makes me look fat, and last night she asked me to take it off because it was, and I quote, “disturbing”) Need to do it every day.
Feel: Hungry, and conscious of the big task ahead of me. How did Terence McSwiney last 74 days without any food at all? And what felicitious words he spoke: ‘it is not those who inflict the most but those who endure the most who ultimately triumph’.
